Summer Offerings

Crosscut has 15 miles of singletrack trails to explore. Find out more about visiting in summer here. We offer youth summer camps, youth mountain biking camps, and a number of mountain biking clinics for adults and those ages 16 and up.

 

Winter Offerings

Crosscut has 28 miles of ski trails to explore. The trails are groomed daily throughout the winter season. A day or season pass is required to access the trails in winter. We offer ski and snowshoe rentals, ski and biathlon lessons, biathlon programs for kids and adults, and community races.

Make the most of winter with a Season Pass

Mountain Bike Rentals

Rental bikes for adults and youth

 

Adult Mountain Bike Rental

Our mountain bike rental for adults includes the bike – a Rocky Mountain Element A50 equipped with flat pedals – and a helmet. Bikes fit 4’8” to 6’7”. If you wish to use your own pedals, please bring them. Learn more here.

Youth Mountain Bike Rental

Our youth rental bikes – the Rocky Mountain Growler Jr 26 – are trail-ready hardtails built to give young riders confidence and control. With 26-inch wheels, a lightweight frame, and youth-specific geometry, it’s perfect for navigating Crosscut’s singletrack and skills park.

Private Lessons

We offer 1-hour lessons geared toward beginner and emerging riders and 2-hour lessons for more intermediate-level rides. Lessons are for riders age 10+ and can accommodate 1-2 individuals. Learn more here.

 

Private Mountain Bike Adventure

Join us for a private adventure exploring the beautiful Bridger Mountains. Adventures are designed for up to four guests, will last three hours, and riding distance will be between 3 and 20 miles. Learn more here.

Just bought a new mountain bike and unsure of where to start? Join us for a 2-hour clinic focused on honing in the basics of mountain biking. Ages 15 and up. Learn more here.

 
Mountain Biking Fundamentals Clinic

Mountain Biking Fundamentals I Clinic

This 2-hour clinic is designed for new or emerging trail riders ages 15 and up who may have limited experience riding singletrack, or for more experienced riders looking to work on the very basics. Learn more here.

Mountain Biking Fundamentals II Clinic

This clinic is designed for emerging trail riders ages 15 and up who may have limited experience riding singletrack, or for more experienced riders looking to solidify their fundamentals. Learn more here.

 

Technical Skills Clinic

This clinic is for those who are comfortable on basic single track, and ready to find more flow and comfort riding over rougher terrain. Emphasis will be placed on building balance and stability going up and down obstacles. Learn more here.

 

Find Your Flow Full-Day Clinic

Take your riding to the next level with a 6-hour clinic perfect for riders with 2+ years riding experience and have the basic skills down. Build up from the fundamentals – body positioning, braking – and move into more dynamic skills like cornering, wheel lifts, and drops. Learn more here.

 

Cornering 2-Week Series

This clinic is intended for intermediate to experienced riders with solid foundational skills who are looking to improve their ability to ride corners on varying terrain. Meet for two 2-hour sessions over 2 weeks. Learn more here.

 

Skill Builder 4-Week Series

The series provides a chance to commit to progress - taking the emerging rider to the next level of skill on varying terrain. Recommended for those who have some experience riding trails. Learn more here.

SHRED Camp

So Happy to Ride Every Day! This adventure based bike camp is for teens who want to build skill and have more fun riding together. Open to 7-9th graders. Learn more here.

In 2025, Crosscut Mountain Sports Center (Crosscut) will proudly become the permanent home of MOSS, uniting two missions dedicated to place-based outdoor education. MOSS and Crosscut are committed to offering engaging opportunities for all ages, including our community’s kids, to spend more time exploring our natural landscapes. Biathlon Lessons, Clinics & Programs

 

Biathlon Clinics

Learn about biathlon with Crosscut! We host periodic clinics at our state-of-the-art biathlon stadium that provide an engaging and thorough introduction into the sport of biathlon. Biathlon rifles and ammunition are included. No prior shooting or ski experience needed to participate in Clinic I.

Private Biathlon Lessons

We are offer private biathlon lessons for individuals and groups of 2-3. Participants must be at least 18 years old and confident Nordic skiers (classic or skate). Lessons must be booked in advance.

Masters Biathlon Novice Program

The Masters Novice Program is for adults who are looking to make biathlon a regular part of their winter. This ongoing program is ideal for those wanting consistent practice and a supportive community to hone their skills every step of the way. No prior shooting experience required.

U12 Youth Biathlon Program

Our summer camps provides introductory dryland training for kids ages 10-11 years old with no prior biathlon experience. These camps provide a safe, supportive environment for kids to gain exposure to the sport of biathlon. Summer camp is a prerequisite for joining the U12 Winter Biathlon Team.

U14 & U16/18 Youth Biathlon Teams

Our U14 Team (ages 12-13) and U16/18 Team (ages 14-17) train for biathlon and Nordic skiing with the goal of competing in regional Nordic and biathlon races. Athletes are strongly encouraged to join a Nordic ski training program to complement their biathlon training. Prior experience required to join either team.

Winter Season Pass

Season passes cover all forms of recreation — cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fatbiking — on 45+ km of purpose-built, finely groomed trails. Season pass holders will have access to pre- and post- season grooming depending on the snow conditions, and the ability to ski off hours before and after the Nordic Center is open. 5-Pass Punch Card

Our multi-day pass provides access to the full trail system during normal operating hours (9am-4pm) on any 5 days throughout the regular winter season. These passes offer the ultimate flexibility — transferable and no expiration date, they can be shared with family and friends!

Snowshoe Day Pass

Enjoy a meander through the woods, or a snowshoe-powered workout, with a day pass to our narrow-gauge snowshoe trails.

Fat Bike Day Pass

Give fat biking a try, or come test your skills on our trails! Owenhouse Cycling is our fat bike rental partner. Be sure to check our grooming report before you visit for daily fat biking conditions.

Night Ski Pass

Light up your winter nights! Come ski our lighted loop on Mondays and Thursdays from 4-8pm. Mondays are Dog Days so bring your pup night skiing on Mondays. We have night ski rentals as well!

Classic Ski Package

Crosscut has classic touring packages available for rent. Our touring rentals are sized for adults, youth, and children, and include skis, boots, and poles. Book your rentals online to save time!

Premium Skate Skis

Interested in trying a race quality skate ski?  Traveling and need to leave your skis at home, but still want high performance rentals?  We have Rossignol SX Premium+ skate skis to demo for the day. Includes standard skate poles and boots.

Performance Classic Skis

Interested in trying a classic-skin ski? These high-performance skis are great for folks looking to get a bit more glide for their kick. If you’ve been using fishscales and want to try the next step up, these are super fun. Includes standard classic poles and boots.

Snowshoes

Get out and play on our beautiful narrow-gauge trail system with a snowshoe rental package! Packages include snowshoes and poles.

Night Ski Rental Package

Rent classic or skate ski equipment at a discounted rate for Night Skiing (Mondays and Thursdays 4-8pm). Our rentals are sized for adults, youth, and children, and include skis, boots, and poles.

From beginner to advanced ability level, Crosscut will help you tap into your growth mindset for Nordic skiing! Crosscut offers private lessons, small group lessons, and 4-week series. Lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance. Visit our Lessons & Rentals page to learn more.

Private Classic Lessons

Our lessons help beginner to advanced ability level skiers improve. Private classic lessons may be booked for adults and children at least 8 years old.  We consider children age 5-7 years old on an individual basis. Lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance.

Private Skate Lessons

Our lessons help beginner to advanced ability level skiers improve. Private skate lessons may be booked for adults and children at least 8 years old. Our skate ski rentals can accommodate folks who weigh at least 66 lbs. Children under 66 lbs will need to bring their own skate skis. Lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance.

Ski Education

 

Naturalist on Skis

Deepen your connection to place through our 2-hour guided Naturalist on Skis sessions for adults. Participants will learn to navigate the winter woods as a naturalist, reading the landscape and identifying the life that makes these lands so special. We can accommodate beginner to advanced skiers, and no prior naturalist knowledge is necessary or expected.

Homeschool Program

Our homeschool program provides experiential, outdoor education for remote learners and homeschoolers grades K-6 (ages ~5-12). Students will build their skiing and science skills each week with the same group of peers. Visit our Homeschool Program page for more information.
