Skyloppet at Crosscut
Skyloppet is Crosscut’s new signature Nordic ski event—a celebration of winter endurance, breathtaking trails, and Montana’s expansive skies. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Bridger Mountains, this two-day event features skate and classic races for skiers of all abilities. With panoramic views, expertly groomed trails, and a vibrant Nordic culture, Skyloppet aspires to grow into a signature Nordic ski event rooted in Montana’s community spirit.
This is more than just a race—it’s a community-forward, inclusive gathering designed to highlight the best of Bozeman’s winter spirit. As Crosscut’s premier winter event, it brings together athletes, families, volunteers, and partners to support year-round programming and celebrate Montana’s Nordic ski community.
Skyloppet builds on the momentum and spirit of the Crosscut Classic, continuing a legacy of high-quality Nordic ski events in Bozeman. As part of the weekend, the beloved Classic lives on—now integrated into a broader, more ambitious celebration of Nordic skiing. This evolution honors our roots while expanding the tradition to feature a premier skate marathon event.
