Wednesday, April 18, 2018:
We had a mechanical problem with the snowcat just as we were leaving for this morning's grooming run. We were not able to groom very much today, but we are hoping to be up and running before this weekend. Stay tuned!
Sunday, April 15, 2018:
36˚F at 10:00 this morning.
Logger's, Ridge, Crosscut, and 1800m loops were all PistenBully groomed last night. We were able to do more blade work which helped eliminate some of the punchy spots from yesterday, but due to the warm snow there are some rough areas. We will keep an eye on new snowfall throughout the week and post grooming updates as we have them.
Saturday, April 14, 2018:
31˚F and partly cloudy this morning.
Logger's and the Green and Blue loops were groomed this morning, and it is a beautiful day for skiing. Skate skiing will be punchy due to all the new snow yesterday, but we are planning on grooming again tonight (as long as it freezes) so tomorrow should be great as well!
Friday, April 13, 2018:
25˚F and snowing steadily at 6:30am.
A significant winter storm is underway, and we have recieved 14" of snow at the base, with more up high. Our groomer is out working now to pack the lower loops before setting tracks. If time and conditions allow we are planning to head to Logger's today to pack in preparation for grooming tomorrow. We are planning to groom tomorrow,
Sunday, April 8, 2018:
30˚F and cloudy at 8:00am, with 3" of new snow overnight.
1800m, Crosscut, Ridge Loop, and Logger's were all PistenBully groomed this morning! With over a foot and a half of snow in the last week the snow is soft in places, and it might get a little sticky as the day warms up, but we're pretty pleased to have skiing at this point in the year!
Saturday, April 7, 2018:
22˚F and partly cloudy with light wind and a trace of new snow overnight.
We are planning on PistenBully grooming the Crosscut Loops, the Ridge Loop, and Logger's loop this morning. Skating will be on the soft side, but classic tracks will be in excellent shape!
