Crosscut Summer Season

The trails are dry and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is open and free to the public for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. Trails will remain open until October 1st conditions permitting. Forestry health and trail work operations are underway, so please obey all posted warnings and trail closures. Follow all posted signs when the Biathlon Range is in use. Due to the range schedule, dogs are not permitted at Crosscut this summer. Due to the nature and extent of planned trail work, there will be no disc golf or horseback riding this summer. Motorized access is strictly prohibited.

Big Sky State Games at Bohart

Bridger Biathlon Club and Big Sky State Games hosted two biathlon races at Bohart Ranch on Sunday, July 9th. The morning summer biathlon sprint drew in 38 competitors from around the state and the intermountain west. In the afternoon 30 mountain bike racers hit the start line, taking on a challenging single track course. Beautiful weather and great course conditions made for a fantastic day of racing in Bridger Canyon! Check out Bridger Biathlon Club's website for results and a full gallery of images from the day. Crosscut Mountain Sports Center to carry on ski legacy in Bridger Canyon

Local non-profit Bridger Biathlon Club (BBC), in partnership with another community non- profit, the Crosscut Mountain Sports Center (CMSC), today exercised an option to purchase the 270-acre Bohart Ranch Cross-Country Ski Center property in Bridger Canyon. BBC and CMSC aim to carry on the Nordic ski legacy established by Bohart Ranch owner, Jean MacInnes.

BBC Hosts Biathlon Sprint

Warm temperatures, fast snow and tricky winds made conditions for an exciting biathlon race at Bohart Ranch Cross Country Ski Center hosted by Bridger Biathlon Club. Sixty racers created the largest field to hit the starting line at a BBC event to date- ranging in age from 9 years old to 50+.

First Training Sessions at New Paralympic Air Rifle Biathlon Range

The Paralympic Team had plenty of snow on which to stage their pre-Finland training camp at Crosscut last week. The new air-rifle shooting range was broken in and the Paralympic Team had ample opportunity to make use of the newly cleared and groomed terrain. According to Head Paralympic Coach, Eileen Carry, "[the team] did all the Finland race formats and shot 90% in windy conditions!"

BBC Athletes Race in West Yellowstone Biathlon Sprint

BBC had a great day of racing in West Yellowstone at the WYSEF Biathlon Sprint. Despite our Thanksgiving training camp being cancelled due to low snow, we were able to pull together a crew to head down and race in the unexpected fresh snow. Nine BBC athletes raced, with four of them carrying their rifles and shooting a standing stage in a race for the first time.

New U.S. Paralympic Biathlon Range at Crosscut

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Board Member, Stuart Jennings, and the generous donation of backhoe and operator from our neighbors at Bridger Bowl, the new Crosscut U.S. Paralympic Biathlon Range is coming together. Crosscut will host members for the U.S. Paralympic Skiing and Biathlon Teams this winter while they are preparing for World Cup competitions throughout the world.

November 12 is Opening Day For Season Pass Holders!

Thanks to Mother Nature’s blessing of early snow, we plan to OPEN EARLY FOR SEASON PASS HOLDERS ONLY beginning Sunday, November 12th at 9am. Our new PistenBully 100 groomer was recently delivered and Crosscut staff have been busy packing and grooming the ski trails. The trails are still a bit soft, but there is plenty of snow cover and classic tracks are set.

PistenBully has Arrived!

Our nearly-new PB100 has arrived and we are busy packing down that recent snowfall. It seems that winter has arrived early and we are doing are best to get the trails ready for a "pre-opening" exclusively for Season Pass holders. We still plan on an official Opening Date of December 1. At that point, we will be fully operational and able to offer day tickets as well. Stay tuned for more up to date information as things develop!
