Announcement: Crosscut is hosting a biathlon race on Saturday, January 18th. We expect this to be a very busy day, so please help us conserve space in the parking lot, and be advised the fireplace room will host race registration in the morning. The Nordic Center will be open to the public for normal operations and rentals, but please be advised the race course (Pumphouse road, South Bangtail, and Going Home) will be closed from 10am-12noon. Visit the race page for a detailed map. All BSF skiers should meet in the lower lot for Saturday's programs.

Our Mission

Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is a community non-profit dedicated to conserving the 500+ acres adjacent to Bridger Bowl Ski Area as a year-round recreation, sports training and educational facility for all ages and abilities.

17 miles north of Bozeman, Montana, at the base of the Bridger Mountains, the 259-acre Crosscut Ranch and 276-acre property formerly known as Bohart Ranch – situated alongside the Bridger Bowl Ski Area – first started operating as Nordic ski venues in the 1970s and have helped define our community as a mountain ski town. Now Crosscut Mountain Sports Center owns both properties and is working to preserve a cherished recreational resource for generations to come

Crosscut Mountain Sports Center's trail system, lodge, and venue will be designed sustainably to accommodate a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts – from hikers and mountain bikers to skiing families seeking groomed cross country ski trails and backcountry access.

Our vision is to work with the community to build a recreational asset that will provide easy access to the mountains for our children to get outside and play. Crosscut Mountain Sports Center’s board, staff and coaches are committed to providing families with top-notch outdoor education and environmental programs that connect kids with nature, and where our children can learn and develop outdoor skills to last a lifetime.
